Twilight on the Farm

Daylight Savings time means that The Farmer’s Market Ride is back — at 5:30 not 5:00.

One might think that we’d move slowly back into the groove. You know, provide a little transition from winter base miles to the riding-on-the-rivet-act-of-desperation. No such luck. The usuals were there, and it seemed that we were picking up where we left off in October. Crazy.

The ride report is: I got spanked. I cut two corners and still got dropped twice. I still managed to average 20 mph too. Chum and the Good Doctor made it in with the lead group. Tailights (aka Chum Bater) was making up time, after dropping a water bottle on Old Greensboro. The Ramblers did well.

Come to think of it, Easy? Farmers Market Ride? What was I thinking?

I pastor Grace Presbyterian Church in Kernersville, North Carolina which locals fondly refer to as K-vegas -- the town not the church. As D.T. Niles once said, "I am not important except to God."
