Strategy Paradigm Shift

In a blog post from Dr. Alan Lim (Floyd Landis’ physician), Lim lays out his understanding of what enabled Floyd to so thoroughly trounce the field in his historic Stage 17 thrashing of the peleton.
It seems to me that we have the beginnings of a new strategy developing. If what Lim says is true, even those who are down 5-10 minutes towards the end of the last mountain stages should attack early so as to get the team car alongside them to provide them with ice cold water. The presence of a team car supplying a solo rider with a unlimted supply of cold water is much more advantageous than doping. And it’s legal. We shall see.
