In the Red Zone

Red rode his bike today. Lovely morning, too.

It’s not hard to get into the red zone these days. Here’s a little, local quad-kicker on Friendship-Ledford Rd. I affectionately refer to it as Muir de Ledford. It’s not much to look at in this picture, but photography distorts. The climb up the other side is well over 10%.

Here’s a little pic at the top. Yep, my heart rate is 184 bpm. It’s elevated because of the climb, but I think it was affected by a couple of other factors –the biggest is that I am out of shape. I had a good ride though, and I’m looking forward to watching that number drop. Until then?

Red Zone.

I pastor Grace Presbyterian Church in Kernersville, North Carolina which locals fondly refer to as K-vegas -- the town not the church. As D.T. Niles once said, "I am not important except to God."
